Sandbars, mangroves and the lazy river
Half and full days run to sandbars, Moriah Harbour’s lazy river, rock iguanas and the pigs. Great Exuma’s trips leave from three different docks, so check which one your booking means.

Mid-chain stop
Staniel Cay between the cays.
The long day north from Great Exuma usually puts Staniel Cay between the major stops — Big Major Cay, Compass Cay, Thunderball Grotto and the surrounding cays. It is the inhabited hub in the middle of the route, with the yacht club and airstrip.

Bottled or RO water.
Exuma Markets lists reverse-osmosis drinking water for boaters. Confirm current availability and pricing with the store.
Water and groceriesCash
Carry some for boat days.
Bahamian and US dollars are used one for one. Banks cluster in George Town and ATMs have had outages.

Rent a car.
